PICC Excellence, in partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, offers a specialized Pediatric Vascular Access Shadowing Program designed for clinicians seeking advanced training in ultrasound insertion techniques. This blended learning experience combines one year of online, evidence-based vascular access education with on-site clinical observation in a high-acuity pediatric setting. Participants gain exposure to PICC, midline, and ultrasound insertion best practices, vessel preservation principles, tip verification strategies, and real-world workflow integration.
Ideal for nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, and vascular access specialists, this pediatric insertion training strengthens clinical judgment, ultrasound optimization skills, and procedural confidence. The program supports continuing education and aligns with national infusion and vascular access standards, making it an excellent option for clinicians or institutions building or advancing pediatric vascular access programs.
In preparation for the blended learning experience please complete all required online courses prior to the workshop. A printed summary sheet of your completed education will be required upon your arrival, serving as verification that you have fulfilled the education requirements.
