PICC Excellence offers this ultimate comprehensive 1-day Workshop - UGPIV Mastery Training (UGPIVMC) in Greenville, South Carolina. This workshop covers ultrasound-guided peripheral intravenous procedures and best practices. Our training toolbox is designed to equip learners and trainers with a comprehensive and innovative approach to mastering UGPIV insertions, ensuring proficiency at every step. A Progressive Mastery Learning Experience in a structured package optimized for both beginners and seasoned clinicians to ensure a powerful learning experience for all. We offer a Train-the-Trainer for those already well-versed in UGPIV, this program paves the way to ascend as leading trainers and mentors of UGPIV therapy utilizing needling skills exercises. Learners receive tangible proof of their UGPIV performance and mastery, encapsulating knowledge, hands-on skills, and best practice methodologies.
This is a blended training process with online pre-requisite education before the workshop and 5 skills modules during the workshop to enhance the achievement of knowledge and simulation leading to successful insertions. Emphasis is placed on needling skills and the "3 Stations of the Needle" throughout the skills exercises. Mastery scoring is used to complete precepted patient insertions and data collection for the first 10 insertions after training providing documentation of successful performance. After completion of the training and precepted insertions, the Mastery Certificate will serve as a testament to the clinician’s unparalleled proficiency in UGPIV therapy. This Mastery Credential underscores best UGPIV practices, needle guidance, superior insertion, and management techniques, along with a profound understanding of infection prevention that all lead to a high level of success.
Arrival time begins at 7:30am and class begins promptly at 8:00am, ending by 5:00pm, each participant will receive a certificate for the workshop for 8 CEs.

The program also includes Competency and Data Collection Forms: These modules validate top-tier performance, ensuring you are at the forefront of UGPIV expertise. Through the multi-module methodology, you will complete the Minimum Performance Score (MPS), mastery rating for supervised insertions and data collection audit tool that is required for the Mastery Examination. Access to the final exam is provided upon submission the application, plus competency & data collection forms.
The Administrator will review your submission and provide access to the final exam which validates the learner’s mastery of the training. An unofficial certificate of completion is automatically generated at the end of the exam. Our Administrator will email an official numbered UGPIV Mastery Certificate and your mastery certificate will be on our registry for 4 years.
Our UGPIV Mastery Training and Certificate Toolbox is available on our website as a standalone product – this program may be purchased and completed at work or with a co-worker using the buddy system. The toolbox is designed to equip learners, trainers, and organizations with a comprehensive and innovative approach to mastering UGPIV insertions, ensuring proficiency at every step.

We operate on a first come first serve basis, allowing clinicians the best chance to enrich their skills. Life, however, is full of surprises, and we understand that sometimes plans change. If you ever find yourself needing to reschedule your workshop attendance, these guidelines are here to assist you.
WORKSHOP DATE CHANGES
Workshop registrants may change their workshop date once at no extra cost up to thirty (30) calendar days before the scheduled workshop. A $100.00 non-refundable fee applies to second or subsequent rescheduling requests.
UNEXPECTED CANCELLATIONS
If for any reason the registrant is unable to attend the scheduled workshop, registrants MUST contact PICC Excellence by phone to speak with our Communication Administrator at (888) 714-1951 or (706) 377-3360. Failure to speak with PICC Excellence forfeits both the workshop and the ability to reschedule the workshop. NO-SHOWS to workshop days are not eligible to be rescheduled.

In the event of a cancellation or postponement by PICC Excellence, you will have the option to reschedule or maintain a credit for any educational product.
