NIR Guided PIV Insertions

This educational program aims to increase a clinician's understanding of techniques that aid success, confidence, and competence with peripheral intravenous catheter insertions. Visualization technologies like near-infrared provide a clear sight into the characteristics of the vein location, depth, and valve positions that can aid inserters in the selection and insertion process. This course was created by PICC Excellence, Inc., in conjunction with Accuvein, as a sponsored educational offering. The content of this course is based on the most current standards, guidelines, and best practices available today to educate those clinicians who place intravenous catheters.
