This program introduces the Vessel Health and Preservation model which consists of four specific quadrants that create a pathway for the selection, placement and care of vascular access devices. Each of the four quadrants is driven by evidence-based practices known to reduce the risk of infections and complications, leading to positive patient outcomes. The importance of education is interlaced within each quadrant of care.
