This course will provide the clinician with the anatomy and optimal zones for ultrasound-guided peripheral catheters. It also provides instruction regarding the best vein location for UGPIV while educating on surrounding vein structures along with common abnormalities found within the arm.

It describes methods to confirm needle position, catheter advancement, and terminal position of the catheter. The course discusses the optimal positioning of the catheter within the vein.
