Build confidence with ultrasound equipment and images before advancing to needle guidance. Learn probe and imaging fundamentals in an accessible introductory course.
Program Details
Make the ultrasound system more familiar before moving into procedural training. This introductory course explains the technology, equipment components, and imaging concepts that help clinicians begin interpreting what they see.
Explore how probe use and equipment choices relate to the displayed image. Establishing this foundation can make subsequent instruction in vascular assessment and ultrasound-guided insertion easier to follow and apply.
This introductory course teaches ultrasound equipment and imaging fundamentals. It does not teach vein access; continue with the appropriate procedural education and supervised training for that skill.
A downloadable manual is included for continued reference. Complete the coursework and achieve a score of at least 80% on the post-test to receive continuing education credit.
