What are the CPUI™ (Certified PICC Ultrasound Inserter) PICC Certification™ Requirements?

***NOTE: Please read and understand ALL requirements for CPUI prior to purchase.

*** There are no refunds.***

To achieve CPUI™ credentialing through the CPUI™ PICC Certification™ program, the applicant must meet certain eligibility requirements. These requirements are considered minimal level standards. Please review these requirements carefully PRIOR TO ordering the CPUI™ PICC Certification™ packet. Applications will not be approved unless ALL eligibility criteria are met. The application is available (see application page) for you to print and fill out. Please make certain that all requirements are met prior to purchasing the CPUI program. If you have questions, please call any time.
  1. Proof of basic PICC insertion education including Modified Seldinger Technique using ultrasound guidance (minimum of 8 hours)
  2. Minimum of 25 successful ultrasound guided PICC insertions, documented by the signature of a supervisor verifying performance
  3. Current professional license
  4. Documented proof of a current supervised insertion using competency checklist to confirm adherence to industry standards and guidelines
  5. Notarized statement signed by candidate and supervisor verifying all of the above
  6. Successful completion of the CPUI™ PICC Certification™ exam. The exam is taken online at home using a remote proctoring service.
Please DO NOT move forward with the National CPUI PICC Certification™ process if you do not meet ALL of these requirements. Your application will not be approved unless ALL requirements are met.
