CPUI Requirements

To achieve CPUI credentialing through the CPUI PICC Certification program, the applicant must meet certain eligibility requirements. These requirements are considered minimal level standards. Please review these requirements carefully PRIOR TO purchasing the CPUI PICC Certification packet. Click here to download your application form.

Hospital Evaluation

Applications will not be approved unless ALL eligibility criteria are met. Please print and complete the CPUI application. Ensure all requirements are met prior to purchasing the CPUI program. If you have questions, please call any time.

CPUI Eligibility Requirements

  • Proof of basic PICC insertion education including Modified Seldinger Technique using ultrasound guidance (minimum of 8 hours)
  • Minimum of 24 successful ultrasound guided PICC insertions, documented by the signature of a supervisor verifying performance
  • Copy of current professional license
  • Documented proof of a current supervised competency assessment to confirm adherence to industry standards and guidelines
  • Notarized statement signed by candidate and supervisor verifying all of the above
  • Successful completion of the CPUI PICC Certification exam. The exam is taken online at home using a remote proctoring service.

Please DO NOT move forward with the CPUI PICC Certification process if you do not meet ALL of these requirements. Your application will not be approved unless ALL requirements are met.
