Atlanta GA - Adult PICC/Ultrasound Workshop October 26-27, 2023

PICC Excellence prides itself in being the premier trainer in PICC insertions for adults. Instructor led, group training classes are held regularly At the Childrens Hospital of Atlanta Conference Center.

At the completion of the two session workshop, you will be equipped with the latest techniques in PICC insertion procedures to begin supervised insertions on patients at your facility.

The workshop provides intensive training for the beginner inserter and is open to any clinician or physician who desires qualification for PICC insertion.
Day 1 covers review and discussion of a basic PICC insertion and a practicum with simulated insertions.
Day 2 integrates ultrasound assessment and guided access into the overall PICC insertion procedures.

We recommend registering as soon as possible; class sizes are limited. (Plus we offer early registration discount!)
Also included in the workshop registration fee, are 5 online courses valued at $845 if purchased separately. You will have access to these courses for review, even after the workshop, for one year. We do require completion of these courses prior to attending the workshop.
Courses included in the registration fee are:
Basic PICC Qualification Training ($395 value)
Inserting PICCs with Ultrasound ($225 value)
Understanding the Basics of Ultrasound ($75 value)
Ultrasound Guided Tips and Tricks ($75 value)
Step by Step Ultrasound Guided PICC Insertion training ($125 value)

An online student account needs to be active to register and purchase the workshop. Once registration is complete, the online programs will be automatically added to your online account. To create a new student account, select Login/Create New Account on the top right of the page menu bar.

The workshops are held in a classroom setting at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta office park.
Due to traffic in the Atlanta area, class sign-in begins at 7:30 AM with the actual class beginning at 8:00 AM on Day 1, completing prior to 5:00 PM.
Day 2 class begins at 8:00 AM, completing prior to 2:30 PM.
For travel arrangements, please allow two additional hours for security screening at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

PICC Excellence reserves the right to cancel any workshop two (2) weeks prior to class date. If PICC Excellence cancels or postpones a class, students may reschedule and/or maintain a credit for any educational product.
Some workshops require documentation to be submitted for approval to attend the workshop. No refund will be issued when deadlines for vaccination and qualifying documentation are not met. Refunds for the workshop will only be provided to participants when PICC Excellence is notified by the participant 2 weeks or more prior for the Adult workshop and 30 days prior for the Neonatal/Pediatric workshop.
If a participant cancellation is received on a workshop registration in less than two weeks (prior to the workshop) students may reschedule to a later workshop, no refunds will be issued.
More than two weeks out, students may reschedule or request a full refund (minus the price of any online education completed).
Workshop registrants may change their workshop dates one time for no charge if there is space available in the next scheduled workshop.
After the first date change, registrants may be charged a non-refundable fee of $250.00 to re-schedule workshop dates.
If, for some reason, the participant cannot attend a scheduled workshop they must contact PICC Excellence at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule the workshop date. If PICC Excellence is not notified, the workshop and the re-scheduling opportunity is forfeited. Some exceptions are considered.

We appreciate your understanding. Many resources and arrangements are involved in scheduling high-quality, expert-led, hands-on, workshops. Our instructor time is committed with each workshop and customized materials provided for each person.
Participation and follow-through for attendance, and notification when schedules must be changed, is vital.
There is much planning and coordination involved with setup up the workshops. Our expert instructor sets aside time to provide attendees with a high-skill, quality, hands-on workshop, coordinating instruction and, in some cases, the shadowing and observation opportunity in the hospital setting.
