Management of Non-Thrombotic Catheter Occlusions
The Management of Non-Thrombotic Catheter Occlusions program reviews catheter occlusions that are not related to blood/thrombus formation. These types of occlusions include:
• Mechanical issues (such as equipment malfunction)
• Tip migration or malposition
• Precipitates formed by chemical reactions of incompatible drug infusions
• Lipid build-up within the catheter from the infusion of TPN
In this webinar-style program, we analyze the causes, signs, symptoms and treatments for each of these non-thrombotic occlusions.
The program includes a manual which can be downloaded for future reference. Successful completion of the post-test with a score of 80% or higher is necessary to receive continuing education credits for this program.
