Which Educational Program Should I Purchase?

If you are just getting started with PICC insertions and are unsure of where to start, we suggest the following programs in the following order:

For Clinicians Just Learning to Place PICCs

Courses:

• Start with the Basic PICC Qualification Training

• Next, take the course Understanding the Basics of Ultrasound which teaches basic introductory information about how to operate the ultrasound unit

• Then take the course Inserting PICCs with Ultrasound or Step by Step Ultrasound Insertion, depending on your preferred style of learning, to learn how to perform an ultrasound-guided insertion

• Once you begin inserting, take the Ultrasound Tips and Tricks program which provides user-specific tips to make your ultrasound-guided insertions even easier

• After 25 successful ultrasound-guided insertions, you may apply for CPUI Certification. Please click on CPUI tab for more information about Certification.
