What should I order?

Beginning PICC Insertion

Courses:

Start with the Basic PICC Qualification Training
Take the course Understanding the Basics of Ultrasound as quick introductory information to the ultrasound unit
Then take the complete course Inserting PICCs with Ultrasound to fully complete the ultrasound training
As you begin inserting and want some encouragement with the frustrations of ultrasound try Step by Step Ultrasound Insertion or Ultrasound Tips and Tricks
After 25 insertions you can apply for CPUI Certification

Already Inserting PICCs

Courses:

Consider learning more about Ultrasound assessment with Advanced Ultrasound Assessment and Ultrasound Tips and Tricks
Also increase your knowledge of Infection Prevention Principles with the Bundles education Central Line Bundle Program
Or with CLABSI training Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infections
Or with training for the central line checklist in the Central Line Insertion Practices (CLIP)
If you have 25 or more insertions, certify your expertise through CPUI Certification

If you have staff that needs training

Courses:

Consider education on PICC and CVC Complications
Non-Thrombotic Catheter Occlusions compliments the PICC and CVC Complications course
Also increase their knowledge of Best Practices with Maintenance through education such as Care and Maintenance of PICC Lines
National Patient Safety Goals for infection prevention are met through education on Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infections(CLABSI)

Options:

Consider Site Licensing that gives you unlimited access to all PICC education, insertion and ultrasound programs for one fee good for a full year. This Site License is renewable and good for 5, 10, 20 or unlimited number of users. Pick the program that fits your needs and the number of users you need for full provision of education.
