Step by Step Ultrasound Guided PICC Insertion Training

In this short training program, we focus on ultrasound use for PICC placement at the bedside, specifically vessel identification and visualization to aid needle access, thereby eliminating the need for “blind sticking”.

This program assumes you have completed part 1 of our ultrasound training program which teaches how to operate an ultrasound unit or that you already have a general knowledge of ultrasound. Please refer to our basic ultrasound program if you are not familiar with ultrasound technology. This program specifically focuses on the step by step procedures necessary to perform an ultrasound guided insertion using the Modified Seldinger Technique and not how to operate an ultrasound unit.
