DVD Self-Study Kits
Our self-study programs provide the ultimate in convenience for PICC line insertion training. Each of these kits is fully self-contained and comes with everything you need to complete the class and be fully qualified in each of these areas. Each kits contains a training DVD with full, live examples of the procedure being taught, a training manual, a post test, a registered answer sheet, a practicum check list, a log book, and an evaluation sheet. Simply watch a section of the DVD, read and study that section in the manual, then move to the next section. Take the post-test on the registered answer sheet provided with your kit. Now, it is time for your practicum. In the practicum, a simulated insertion is performed under the supervision of a physician or qualified inserter. This supervisor signs off on a competency checklist provided and verifies that you performed the procedure adequately. Return the post test answer sheet, practicum competency, section questions and the evaluation form to us. We grade everything and send you a certificate with a cover letter stating that you are ready to do supervised insertions on patients to the point of competency. That’s how it works! Keep the DVDs and manuals for future reference when needed.
