A patient education tool. A very nice tool to help explain PICC lines and their therapy and to help obtain the patient's informed consent for the procedure. The naration is paced for optimum patient comprehension. This brief video explains to the patient what a PICC/Mid Line is, where it is inserted and where the tip is placed. It explains possible complications that may develop during the procedure. Finally the video discusses advantages, patient care and responsibilities of their PICC/Mid line catheter. The DVD has two play options: Play Once or Play Repeatedly. Repeated play simply loops the video program until the operator decides to stop it.
