PICC Certification
Do You Meet the PICC Certification™ Requirements?
In order to achieve a CPUI™ through the PICC Certification™ program, you must meet certain eligibility requirements that are considered minimal standard levels. Please review these requirements carefully BEFORE you order your CPUI™ PICC Certification™ packet. We will not be able to process your application unless you qualify by meeting ALL of the eligibility criteria.
- I have a current professional license
- I have completed a Basic PICC training program including Modified Seldinger Technique and have a certificate from this training
- I have completed AT LEAST 25 PICC insertions using ultrasound
- I have a supervisor (non-family member) who can attest to the fact that I have completed these 25 insertions
- I have a licensed medical professional who has completed a PICC Training program and is proficient in placing PICCs who can supervise one of my insertions to check my compliance with the stated procedures
- I am willing to have all of my information signed by a supervisor and notarized attesting to the truth of the statements provided.
In addition to these requirements, applicant must successfully pass a national exam with a score of 80% or higher on a 200 question multiple choice/true – false exam. The exam is timed with a two hour limit and must be taken by internet access through online portal and login.
Please DO NOT move forward with the National PICC Certification™ process if you do not meet all of these requirements. You will not be able to obtain your CPUI™ unless ALL of these requirements are met. Purchase of PICC Certification™ Program is non-refundable.
